Katie Smithson

Katie Smithson is a residential conveyancing specialist based at our Ramsgate office. She joined Boys & Maughan in 2013 and, after a decade of building her knowledge and experience, qualified as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (FCILEx) in 2023.

Katie deals with the full spectrum of residential property matters and offers clear, practical advice throughout each stage of the conveyancing process. Her day-to-day caseload regularly includes:

• Transfers of equity
• Voluntary lease extensions

Katie’s long-standing connection with the Isle of Thanet is a further advantage for many of her clients. Having always lived locally, she has an exceptional knowledge of the area, its housing market and its communities. For those moving into the area, she is well placed to share insight on local schools and services, drawing on her own experience as a parent of two school-age children.
