Ihcene Khalfi

Ihcene Khalfi is a Trainee Solicitor based at our St George’s Place, Canterbury office and is currently undertaking a seat in our Commercial Property team.

Ihcene is known for her clear, client-friendly approach, ensuring that clients receive straightforward advice in plain English. She takes pride in being responsive and keeping clients informed at every stage of their matter.

Working alongside experienced members of the Commercial Property team, Ihcene assists with a wide range of transactions for businesses, property owners and investors. As part of her training, she is gaining experience in advising a diverse client base, including developers, landowners, lenders, borrowers, and commercial landlords and tenants, supporting matters from instruction through to completion.

Before joining the Commercial Property team, Ihcene completed seats in Litigation and Private Client. During her Litigation seat, she supported senior solicitors on complex matters, helping to prepare for trials, mediations and early neutral evaluations, and assisting with neighbour disputes, adverse possession, inheritance disputes and debt recovery matters. In Private Client, she gained experience drafting Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and deeds of variation, while also assisting with probate and trust matters.

Alongside her work, Ihcene is studying part-time for a Master's in Law at BPP Law School. She graduated from the University of Kent in 2023 with an LLB Law degree, including a year in Data Analytics, before joining Boys & Maughan through a summer internship. Her dedication and enthusiasm saw her achieve three promotions within a year, culminating in the offer of a training contract.

Outside of work, Ihcene enjoys exploring East Kent, discovering new places to eat and visit, and spending time with friends. She also has a keen interest in travel, learning new languages and fashion.
