George Orton draws on extensive experience in defendant insurance, equipping him with sharp insights into claims management and strategic litigation planning. His background in travel law further enhances his ability to navigate complex, multi-jurisdictional disputes.

Before qualifying as a solicitor, George worked as a cost draftsman, giving him a keen understanding of how to align clients’ interests with the financial realities of litigation. George qualified under the inaugural sitting of the Solicitors Qualifying Examinations, achieving top-percentile scores in all exams. He joined Boys & Maughan in December 2024.

George is part of the Litigation and Disputes team, frequently instructed in a wide range of matters concerning:

  • Commercial disputes
  • Property disputes
  • Employment disputes
  • Accidents abroad

George is deeply familiar with the local area, having grown up here and attended Chatham House Grammar School. After gaining valuable experience working in London, he has recently returned to the region.

Outside of his professional work, George is an avid sports enthusiast. After completing his first marathon this year, he has future ambitions to complete the iconic "London Classics" challenge, comprising: the London Marathon, Ride London, and Swim Serpentine.
