Elaine Horn

Elaine Horn is a Paralegal in our Residential Property team based at our Birchington office. Elaine began her legal career in 2021 when she joined Boys & Maughan and works closely with Christine Anderson, Partner and manager of the office.

Elaine’s work focuses particularly on freehold and leasehold sales but she also prepares mortgage and search reports on purchases. Highly organised and with a strong eye for detail, Elaine takes a careful and methodical approach to her work and understands the importance of keeping matters progressing.

Providing the best possible service to clients is central to Elaine’s approach. Friendly and approachable, she believes in treating people as she would like to be treated herself. Elaine appreciates that buying or selling a property can sometimes feel daunting, particularly when clients are unfamiliar with the conveyancing process, and aims to make things easier by being helpful, accessible and straightforward.

Elaine is also a great believer in picking up the telephone. She finds that a conversation can often resolve a question or problem far more quickly than a lengthy exchange of emails. It also gives clients an opportunity to talk things through and provides a more personal way of keeping everyone involved in a transaction informed.

Elaine’s attention to detail, organised approach and emphasis on good communication help her provide clients with a friendly and efficient service while supporting the smooth progress of their property transaction.

Away from the office, Elaine enjoys coastal life and is a keen gardener. She enjoys learning about different plants and seeing what thrives, as well as watching her garden change and develop through the seasons.
