Neck

Compensation for this injury varies greatly. Minor injuries (£1,000- £6,900) are generally soft tissue and whiplash injuries from which recovery is expected within two years. Moderate injuries (£6,900 - £33,700) include whiplash or wrenching if it has caused significant loss of function and often with symptoms that persist for over five years.  Severe injuries (£39,800 - £130,000) that result in permanent symptoms such as loss of movement in neck or limbs and chronic headaches. Compensation at the higher end of the bracket will generally involve incomplete paraplegia or spastic quadriparesis.
