Tyler attained his law degree at Swansea University and completed his LPC at the University of Law in London. He was awarded his Boys & Maughan training contract in September 2023 and qualified in April 2025.

Outside work Tyler plays rugby semi-professionally for Canterbury RFC in the English National Leagues.
