Richard Durrant manages our conveyancing department. You can call Richard on 01843 234012. 

Richard is a Chartered Legal Executive. He joined Boys & Maughan in 2006, became a partner in 2009 and an equity partner in 2012.  He has been involved in conveyancing since 2000, having previously worked in estate agency for 10 years.

Richard specifically handles:

• Freehold and Leasehold sales and purchases
• Remortgages
• Transfers of equity
• Purchases of land by developers and builders
• Equity Release mortgages.

Between 2017 and 2022, under Richard's leadership, our conveyancing team has won no fewer than 25 trophies at the national ESTAS Conveyancing Awards, including best solicitors in Kent and best firm with two to five offices in the country. 

In December 2013 Richard was runner up and commended in the Individual Award for Best Conveyancer category of the Estate Agency of the Year Awards. These prestigious national awards are given in association with The Times and The Sunday Times.

Outside of the office Richard coaches youth cricket and the University of Kent's cricket teams. He is also Chairman of Canterbury Cricket Club based at Polo Farm Sports Club in Canterbury.
