The personal nature of family disputes can cause a great deal of uncertainty, confusion and emotional upset. It is understandably difficult for people to grapple with complex legal issues during such a challenging time.
Erma is able to deal with a wide variety of matters including divorce, financial remedy, separation agreements, injunctions in cases of domestic violence, child arrangements orders, prohibited steps orders, specific issue orders, prenuptial agreements and property disputes arising from cohabitation.
Erma understands the sensitive nature of these disputes and works hard to support and guide her clients through the process of obtaining a resolution that is in their best interests. She takes the time to explain the relevant legal issues in simple and clear language so clients can be confident that they understand their legal position and their options. Erma works with clients of all backgrounds and treats each case on an individual basis.
Erma qualified as a solicitor in September 2017 and has over 4 years’ experience in family law. Erma completed her undergraduate studies in Texas, USA, where she obtained a BSc. in Biology. Upon returning to the UK, Erma completed the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law, following which Erma completed her training contract and qualified as a solicitor. Erma joined Boys and Maughan in March 2018.
In her spare time Erma enjoys travelling, learning about different cultures and playing the saxophone.
In the video below Erma and one of her colleagues, Zoey Arscott, answer some of the questions they are often asked.
