Dawn Cole


Based at our Margate office, Dawn Cole is a commercial property solicitor who helps businesses buy, sell, lease and develop all types of land and buildings including offices, development sites, industrial and retail. You can call Dawn on 01843 269275.

Dawn manages our commercial property department and describes herself as a friendly, practical sort of lawyer. She works hard and collaboratively to achieve deadlines, provides a great service and is technically excellent, all whilst always retaining a sense of humour.

Dawn has wide-ranging experience of local private practice and has worked in-house at a Kent local authority serving public sector clients. Her background is therefore quite diverse and she brings hands-on experience of how the public sector and other local firms operate, which could be of benefit to your transaction.

Dawn’s legal career commenced in 2002 when she was appointed as a legal secretary specialising in residential property for a local high street firm. Dawn then went on to qualify as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2009 and requalified as a solicitor in 2016. Dawn became a Partner at Boys & Maughan on 1 April 2021.

Outside work Dawn’s pastimes include walking her three dogs, reading classics, studying mythology and attending lectures on a wide range of topics.

Dawn also volunteers as an Official Prison Visitor (OPV). OPVs are ordinary members of the public who offer confidential friendship and commitment to prisoners whilst they are in prison.
