Boys & Maughan has officially opened a second office in Canterbury this week.

Senior Partner Robert Moulsdale said: “We are delighted to be increasing our footprint in the city. Since our first Canterbury office opened in 2014 our local reputation, built in Margate and the surrounding towns over two centuries, has been going from strength to strength.

“Expanding our offering will help us meet the demand for our services. Our new St George’s Place office is focusing on residential and commercial property and our nearby Broad Street branch assists wills and probate, family law and litigation clients.”

Over the last 12 months Boys & Maughan has helped well over 4,000 families and individuals move home. In October the firm won no fewer than five trophies at the ESTAS national conveyancing awards, presented by Phil Spencer of Location, Location fame. The accolades included an individual award for Boys & Maughan Canterbury partner Elizabeth Thomson, who was named one of the best three conveyancers in the country.

In 2017 the firm’s Commercial Property team was listed on its first ever application to The Legal 500, which is a rare achievement. The Legal 500 is a prestigious publication which reviews and rates all the top firms.

Boys & Maughan’s litigators, wills and probate and family law specialists have supported businesses and individuals from the city and surrounding towns for generations. Local solicitors, experienced in these areas, have been recruited to the firm’s Broad Street office opposite the City Wall.

32 St George’s Place, the address for Boys & Maughan’s new office, is a fine stuccoed townhouse, built in about 1840. One of a terrace of similar houses on the south west side of the street, the building is Grade II listed.
