National Quality Mark Retained

One of the first four firms in the country to be accredited with the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme(CQS), we have recently retained the accreditation for another 12 months across all of our offices.

The CQS is a quality standard awarded to solicitors' firms in recognition of their high standards of service and advice and allows customers to identify quality conveyancing practices in a crowded and sometimes confusing market.

The scheme, supported by the Council of Mortgage Lenders, the Building Societies Association and the Association of British Insurers is based on four principles to ensure that homebuyers and sellers get the best possible service:

 Reliability - consistent central processes and standards
 Service - a new client charter aims to ensure quality of service delivery.
 Quality - robust monitoring and enforcement with members subject to spot checks and audits.
 Integrity - identity and status checks for individual conveyancers and firms to create a trusted conveyancing community.

Andrew Baddeley-Chappell, Head of Mortgage Strategy & Policy at Nationwide Building Society, said: "Nationwide supports action by the Law Society to improve standards in conveyancing including the CQS."

Paul Broadhead, Head of Mortgage Policy at the Building Societies Association said: "We support steps that make the home buying process simpler and enable consumers to receive much needed certainty as soon as possible, so welcome the steps taken by the Law Society to increase professionalism and raise standards in residential conveyancing by introducing the CQS."

As part of the audit process, we monitor all of our conveyancing transactions to find out if our clients are satisfied with the way that they were dealt with.

Everyone is asked a series of straightforward questions to find out if they are happy with the service that they received, how likely they are to use us again and how likely they are to recommend us to their own friends and family. During the course of the year an amazing 99% of those who responded said yes to all three questions.

The CQS gives homebuyers an instantly recognisable quality mark highlighting the firm's professional excellence and commitment to providing a high value service.
