Thursday June 4th was the date for this year's Boys & Maughan Charity Golf Day, which once again was held at Princes Golf Club in Sandwich, final qualifying course for the 2011 Open Championship.
The day followed our tried and tested and ever popular 27 hole format, utilising all 3 courses. Over 70 golfers enjoyed coffee & bacon rolls on arrival, 9 morning holes followed by lunch and a further 18 holes in the afternoon.
Events were topped off by a sumptuous dinner, charity raffle & auction in aid of Pilgrims Hospices, attended by over more than 80 . After which former England pace bowler, Dean Headley, entertained all present with a variety of stories, anecdotes and opinions on cricket past, present and future.
