We are delighted to announce that the speaker at this year's Boys & Maughan Charity Golf Day on Thursday June 3rd 2010 will be Steve Perryman MBE. The event will, once again, be held at Prince's Golf Club in Sandwich, final qualifying course for next year's Open Championship.
Steve is the most loyal player in the Spurs' history, making his league debut at the age of 17 and becoming captain at the age of 20. He still holds the Spurs record for most appearances in the league, F.A. Cup, League Cup and Europe.
In a long, successful career Steve also won more medals than any other player at Spurs with two League Cups, two UEFA Cups and two F.A. Cups alongside the honour of the Football Writers' Player of the Year in 1982. In 1986 Steve was awarded the MBE for services to football. He is currently Director of Football at Exeter City F.C. The day will follow our tried, tested and ever popular 27 hole format, utilising all 3 of Prince's 9 hole courses, with coffee & bacon rolls on arrival, 9 morning holes followed by lunch and a further 18 holes in the afternoon.
Events will be topped off by a sumptuous dinner, charity raffle & auction in aid of Pilgrims Hospices.
For golfers and non-golfers alike there are sponsorship oportunities available, as well as a limited number of dinner only places.
